Which companies have driven the market over the last 7 days?
To date, American petrochemical companies look superior to European ones. And Olin Corporation is my top pick in this industry. Olin Corp. managed to effectively pass costs on to consumers last year during a turbulent time when the cost of sales was rising across the petrochemical industry. Olin Corp. is the fastest-growing company in the analyzed sample, although its valuation is not much higher than that of other companies. I like its buyback program and the momentum in reducing its debt. Olin Corp. is also likely to enjoy a tailwind from weakened competition as European giants like BASF and Sibur face the consequences of instability in Europe.
