Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. provided consolidated earnings guidance for the first half ended 30 June 2026. For the period, the Group expects to record a net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company in the range of RMB 4,060 million to RMB 4,570 million. It is expected the company will realise a net loss attributable to the shareholders of the parent company after deduction of non-recurring gains and losses for the First Half of 2026 of RMB 4,800 million to RMB 5,600 million. During the current period, competition in the domestic automobile market continued to intensify. The Company actively expanded its market presence, achieving significant growth in sales volume in its overseas market. In the first half of the year, the total sales volume has slightly increased, and the gross margin slightly improved compared to the same period last year. However, due to the combined impact of multiple adverse factors, the loss of the Company has increased compared to the same period last year. The main reasons are as follows: Firstly, competition in the domestic market has intensified. The Company has continued to increase its sales expenditure on its self-developed brands. Coupled with changes in the product sales structure and rising upstream raw material costs, this has led to an increase in loss from the self- developed brands compared with the same period last year; Secondly, the joint-venture brands have come under pressure. Affected by factors such as a decline in retail sales, continued increase in sales expenditure and rising raw material costs, the Company's investment income has decreased compared with the same period last year; Thirdly, due to exchange rate fluctuations, foreign exchange losses were incurred during the current period, further reducing profit margins.
