Huaneng Power International, Inc. Announces Joint Company Secretary Changes

Huaneng Power International, Inc. announced that Ms. Jiang Xiao tendered her resignation as a joint company secretary of the Company due to her other work arrangements, with effect from July 17, 2026. The Company further announced that Ms. Tang Mei Shan has been appointed as a joint company secretary of the Company with effect from July 17, 2026. Following the appointment of Ms. Tang, Mr. Wen Minggang will continue to serve as the other joint company secretary of the Company. Mr. Wen Minggang, aged 56, currently serves as the Chief Accountant, a member of the Party Committee and the Secretary to the Board of the Company, as well as vice chairman of China Huaneng Finance Co., Ltd, a member of the board of directors of Shenzhen Energy Group and vice chairman of Shenzhen Energy Group Co. Ltd. Mr. Wen previously served as the chief accountant and a member of the Party Leadership Group of Huaneng Coal Industry Co. Ltd., deputy director of the coal business department of China Huaneng Group Co. Ltd., chief accountant and a member of the Party Committee of Huaneng Renewables Corporation Limited, deputy director of the new energy business department of China Huaneng Group Co. Ltd., chief accountant and a member of the Party Committee of Huaneng Capital Services Company Limited (concurrently serving as director, chairman and legal representative of Huaneng Invesco Private Equity Management Company Limited, and director of Huajing Private Equity Investment Management Co. Ltd.). Mr. Wen holds a master's degree in Accounting from Nankai University and is a senior accountant at professor level. Ms. Tang Mei Shan, aged 64, is a senior professional based in Hong Kong with extensive experience in financial and tax compliance and corporate operations management for listed companies. She possesses solid professional backgrounds spanning international accounting firms and senior management roles in large red-chip listed groups. Ms. Tang specialises in financial and tax compliance, group governance, listing restructuring and corporate structure optimisation. She worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for seven years, where she provided tax and compliance advisory services. She subsequently joined CITIC Limited and its subsidiaries and held group-level management roles for over 30 years. During her tenure, she participated in spin-off listings, corporate restructurings, organisational structure optimisation and team building, and provided professional support for corporate compliance and operations in respect of diversified businesses including mining, shipping, real estate, infrastructure, initial public offerings and strategic investments. Ms. Tang has served as an independent director of Shenzhen Longsys Electronics Co. Ltd. since January 2025, and holds the qualification certificate for independent directors of PRC listed companies. She has also been appointed as an independent non-executive director of AUX Electric Co. Ltd. since June 5, 2026. Ms. Tang obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Laws from the University of London, and a Master of Arts in International Accounting from City University of Hong Kong. Ms. Tang is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, The Chartered Governance Institute and The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute.
