Recent 18% pullback isn't enough to hurt long-term LifeMD (NASDAQ:LFMD) shareholders, they're still up 588% over 5 years
It's been a soft week for LifeMD, Inc. (NASDAQ:LFMD) shares, which are down 18%. But over five years returns have been remarkably great. To be precise, the stock price is 588% higher than it was five years ago, a wonderful performance by any measure. Arguably, the recent fall is to be expected after such a strong rise. Of course what matters most is whether the business can improve itself sustainably, thus justifying a higher price. We love happy stories like this one. The company should be really proud of that performance!
Since the long term performance has been good but there's been a recent pullback of 18%, let's check if the fundamentals match the share price.

Given that LifeMD didn't make a profit in the last twelve months, we'll focus on revenue growth to form a quick view of its business development. Shareholders of unprofitable companies usually desire strong revenue growth. Some companies are willing to postpone profitability to grow revenue faster, but in that case one would hope for good top-line growth to make up for the lack of earnings.
For the last half decade, LifeMD can boast revenue growth at a rate of 40% per year. Even measured against other revenue-focussed companies, that's a good result. Fortunately, the market has not missed this, and has pushed the share price up by 47% per year in that time. Despite the strong run, top performers like LifeMD have been known to go on winning for decades. On the face of it, this looks lke a good opportunity, although we note sentiment seems very positive already.

A Different Perspective
LifeMD shareholders are down 23% for the year, but the market itself is up 23%. However, keep in mind that even the best stocks will sometimes underperform the market over a twelve month period. Longer term investors wouldn't be so upset, since they would have made 47%, each year, over five years. It could be that the recent sell-off is an opportunity, so it may be worth checking the fundamental data for signs of a long term growth trend. It's always interesting to track share price performance over the longer term. But to understand LifeMD better, we need to consider many other factors. Even so, be aware that LifeMD is showing 4 warning signs in our investment analysis , and 1 of those can't be ignored...
