The Landi Renzo (BIT:LR) Share Price Has Gained 105%, So Why Not Pay It Some Attention?
The most you can lose on any stock (assuming you don't use leverage) is 100% of your money. But on a lighter note, a good company can see its share price rise well over 100%. For example, the Landi Renzo S.p.A. (BIT:LR) share price has soared 105% in the last half decade. Most would be very happy with that. Also pleasing for shareholders was the 39% gain in the last three months.

Because Landi Renzo made a loss in the last twelve months, we think the market is probably more focussed on revenue and revenue growth, at least for now. When a company doesn't make profits, we'd generally expect to see good revenue growth. That's because it's hard to be confident a company will be sustainable if revenue growth is negligible, and it never makes a profit.
Over the last half decade Landi Renzo's revenue has actually been trending down at about 3.3% per year. On the other hand, the share price done the opposite, gaining 15%, compound, each year. It just goes to show tht the market is forward looking, and it's not always easy to predict the future based on past trends. Still, this situation makes us a little wary of the stock.

A Different Perspective
We're pleased to report that Landi Renzo shareholders have received a total shareholder return of 33% over one year. That gain is better than the annual TSR over five years, which is 15%. Therefore it seems like sentiment around the company has been positive lately. In the best case scenario, this may hint at some real business momentum, implying that now could be a great time to delve deeper. It's always interesting to track share price performance over the longer term. But to understand Landi Renzo better, we need to consider many other factors.
