Don't Ignore The Insider Selling In Everspin Technologies

Anyone interested in Everspin Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:MRAM) should probably be aware that the President, Sanjeev Aggarwal, recently divested US$174k worth of shares in the company, at an average price of US$10.15 each. On the bright side, that sale was only 8.5% of their holding, so we doubt it's very meaningful, on its own.

Everspin Technologies Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent sale by President Sanjeev Aggarwal was not the only time they sold Everspin Technologies shares this year. Earlier in the year, they fetched US$6.29 per share in a -US$176k sale. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (US$11.39). As a general rule we consider it to be discouraging when insiders are selling below the current price, because it suggests they were happy with a lower valuation. However, while insider selling is sometimes discouraging, it's only a weak signal. This single sale was just 11% of Sanjeev Aggarwal's stake.
