Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the Advantage Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:ADV) CEO & Director, David Peacock, recently bought US$86k worth of stock, for US$1.15 per share. Although the purchase is not a big one, increasing their shareholding by only 3.5%, it can be interpreted as a good sign.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Advantage Solutions

The Chief Operating Officer of Experiential Services, Andrea Young, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$227k worth of shares at a price of US$3.43 each. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is US$1.26. So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels.

Happily, we note that in the last year insiders paid US$664k for 343.84k shares. On the other hand they divested 100.00k shares, for US$285k. In the last twelve months there was more buying than selling by Advantage Solutions insiders. Their average price was about US$1.93. These transactions suggest that insiders have considered the current price attractive. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. What Might The Insider Transactions At Advantage Solutions Tell Us?

The recent insider purchases are heartening. We also take confidence from the longer term picture of insider transactions. Given that insiders also own a fair bit of Advantage Solutions we think they are probably pretty confident of a bright future.
