Old Market Capital Slides As Insider Purchases Lose Another US$43k
The recent price decline of 18% in Old Market Capital Corporation's (NASDAQ:OMCC) stock may have disappointed insiders who bought US$200.9k worth of shares at an average price of US$6.00 in the past 12 months. Insiders invest with the hopes of seeing their money grow in value over time. However, as a result of recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth US$157.8k, which is not what they expected.
While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.
Old Market Capital Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by CEO & Chairman Jeffrey Royal for US$189k worth of shares, at about US$6.00 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than US$4.71 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.
Old Market Capital insiders may have bought shares in the last year, but they didn't sell any.
