Possible Bearish Signals With Bergman & Beving Insiders Disposing Stock
Bergman & Beving AB (publ) (STO:BERG B) shareholders may have reason to be concerned, as several insiders sold their shares over the past year. Knowing whether insiders are buying is usually more helpful when evaluating insider transactions, as insider selling can have various explanations. However, shareholders should take a deeper look if several insiders are selling stock over a specific time period.
While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.
Bergman & Beving Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
The Division Head of Core Solutions, Mats Gullbrandsson, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for kr4.4m worth of shares at a price of kr291 each. So what is clear is that an insider saw fit to sell at around the current price of kr278. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. Given that the sale took place at around current prices, it makes us a little cautious but is hardly a major concern.
Happily, we note that in the last year insiders paid kr1.7m for 5.49k shares. But insiders sold 45.90k shares worth kr14m. In total, Bergman & Beving insiders sold more than they bought over the last year. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year.
