For Oneclick Logistics India Insiders, Selling ₹92m Of Shares Was A Smart Move

Despite a 18% gain in Oneclick Logistics India Limited's (NSE:OLIL) stock price this week, shareholders shouldn't let up. Even though stock prices were relatively low, insiders elected to sell ₹92m worth of stock in the last year, which could indicate some expected downturn.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Oneclick Logistics India Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the MD & Chairman, Mahesh Bhanushali, sold ₹8.8m worth of shares at a price of ₹100 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to take some cash off the table, even below the current price of ₹125. When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. This single sale was just 11% of Mahesh Bhanushali's stake.
