Insiders Buying Talisker Resources Might Wish They Invested More, Stock Gains 11%
Talisker Resources Ltd. (TSE:TSK) insiders who purchased shares in the last 12 months were richly rewarded last week. The stock climbed by 11% resulting in a CA$27m addition to the company’s market value. As a result, the stock they originally bought for CA$554.5k is now worth CA$1.65m.
Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.
The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Talisker Resources
The Chief Financial Officer Andres Tinajero made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for CA$344k worth of shares at a price of CA$0.50 each. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of CA$1.52. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.

Does Talisker Resources Boast High Insider Ownership?
Looking at the total insider shareholdings in a company can help to inform your view of whether they are well aligned with common shareholders. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
