Looking at Nido Education Limited's (ASX:NDO ) insider transactions over the last year, we can see that insiders were net sellers. That is, there were more number of shares sold by insiders than there were purchased.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Nido Education

The Founder, Mathew Edwards, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for AU$4.1m worth of shares at a price of AU$0.89 each. That means that an insider was selling shares at around the current price of AU$0.88. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. In this case, the big sale took place at around the current price, so it's not too bad (but it's still not a positive). The only individual insider seller over the last year was Mathew Edwards. Notably Mathew Edwards was also the biggest buyer, having purchased AU$540k worth of shares.
