This collaboration aims to significantly enhance application performance by enabling faster, more efficient, and developer-friendly environments for latency-sensitive and AI inferencing applications. By integrating WebAssembly functionalities with Akamai's existing services, including its EdgeWorkers and CDN, businesses can achieve lower egress costs and faster application response times, paving the way for the development and adoption of more distributed cloud models.
