Reading International Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In fact, the recent sale by Douglas McEachern was the biggest sale of Reading International shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (US$1.39). When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. However, while insider selling is sometimes discouraging, it's only a weak signal. We note that the biggest single sale was 65% of Douglas McEachern's holding.

Does Reading International Boast High Insider Ownership?
Looking at the total insider shareholdings in a company can help to inform your view of whether they are well aligned with common shareholders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Our data indicates that Reading International insiders own about US$7.0m worth of shares (which is 14% of the company). But they may have an indirect interest through a corporate structure that we haven't picked up on. Overall, this level of ownership isn't that impressive, but it's certainly better than nothing!
