Bullish Envista Holdings Insiders Loaded Up On US$906.7k Of Stock
Quite a few insiders have dramatically grown their holdings in Envista Holdings Corporation (NYSE:NVST) over the past 12 months. An insider's optimism about the company's prospects is a positive sign.
While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.
Envista Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by CEO & Director Paul Keel for US$506k worth of shares, at about US$16.87 per share. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at around the current price of US$18.03. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. While we always like to see insider buying, it's less meaningful if the purchases were made at much lower prices, as the opportunity they saw may have passed. The good news for Envista Holdings share holders is that insiders were buying at near the current price.
Envista Holdings insiders may have bought shares in the last year, but they didn't sell any. Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. Our data indicates that Envista Holdings insiders own about US$9.4m worth of shares (which is 0.3% of the company). Overall, this level of ownership isn't that impressive, but it's certainly better than nothing!
