Looking at RxSight, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:RXST ) insider transactions over the last year, we can see that insiders were net sellers. That is, there were more number of shares sold by insiders than there were purchased.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

RxSight Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Independent Chairman of the Board Jesse Corley for US$1.0m worth of shares, at about US$45.37 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being US$33.87). Their view may have changed since then, but at least it shows they felt optimistic at the time. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.

Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 38.69k shares worth US$1.8m. But insiders sold 9.13k shares worth US$429k. It is good to see the recent insider purchase. And an analysis of the transactions over the last year also gives us confidence.
