With the shares around $63.45 and an estimated intrinsic value implying roughly an 18% discount, the key question is simple: is TechnipFMC still undervalued, or is the market already pricing in future growth?
Most Popular Narrative: 25% Overvalued
Against the latest close of $63.45, the most followed narrative pegs TechnipFMC’s fair value at $50.62, implying the share price is running ahead of that model.
Continued investment and leadership in subsea innovation (for example, all-electric subsea systems, hybrid flexible pipe, and CO2 capture technology) position TechnipFMC to capture value from both conventional oil & gas projects and the rising demand for energy transition infrastructure such as CCS and hydrogen, fostering top-line diversification and future margin potential.
Want to see what kind of revenue growth, margin profile, and future earnings multiple are needed to back that fair value? The narrative combines steady expansion assumptions with a premium P/E and long term cash flow visibility. The full breakdown links these moving parts into one valuation story.
Result: Fair Value of $50.62 (OVERVALUED)
Have a read of the narrative in full and understand what's behind the forecasts.
However, you still need to weigh oil price volatility and geopolitical exposure, which could delay projects, pressure margins, and challenge the assumptions behind that fair value.

Another View: Cash Flows Point in the Opposite Direction
While the popular narrative sees TechnipFMC as about 25% overvalued at $63.45, our DCF model points in the other direction, with a fair value of $76.94 and a 17.5% discount to that estimate. When one approach indicates premium pricing and another highlights a gap, which lens do you rely on more?

Gold miners still look inexpensive because the market thinks we're near the top of the cycle. Given what's happening to the dollar, I'm not so sure.

Is it a safer bet on gold to have just exposure to ETFs?
Between 2003 and 2011, gold nearly went 5x. Dollar went weak too. The gold companies did bad. It is worth noting that between 2003 and 2011, there was 2008! I will leave it your inference and research.
