The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Strategic Education
The Independent Director Viet Dinh made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$494k worth of shares at a price of US$115 each. That means that even when the share price was higher than US$101 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when an insider has purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price. The only individual insider to buy over the last year was Viet Dinh.
Viet Dinh purchased 9.30k shares over the year. The average price per share was US$104.
