As with many other companies SiteOne Landscape Supply, Inc. (NYSE:SITE) makes use of debt. But the real question is whether this debt is making the company risky.

A Look At SiteOne Landscape Supply's Liabilities

We can see from the most recent balance sheet that SiteOne Landscape Supply had liabilities of US$578.3m falling due within a year, and liabilities of US$764.5m due beyond that. Offsetting this, it had US$90.9m in cash and US$490.6m in receivables that were due within 12 months. So its liabilities outweigh the sum of its cash and (near-term) receivables by US$761.3m.

Of course, SiteOne Landscape Supply has a market capitalization of US$7.61b, so these liabilities are probably manageable. Having said that, it's clear that we should continue to monitor its balance sheet, lest it change for the worse.
