Investors who take an interest in NN, Inc. (NASDAQ:NNBR) should definitely note that the CEO, President & Director, Harold Bevis, recently paid US$2.17 per share to buy US$109k worth of the stock. Although the purchase only increased their holding by 3.5%, it is still a solid purchase in our view.

NN Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Independent Director, Raynard Benvenuti, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$741k worth of shares at a price of US$3.14 each. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. The good news is that this large sale was at well above current price of US$2.34. So it is hard to draw any strong conclusion from it. The only individual insider seller over the last year was Raynard Benvenuti.

In the last twelve months insiders purchased 152.84k shares for US$384k. But they sold 236.10k shares for US$741k. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. If you want to know exactly who sold, for how much, and when, simply click on the graph below!

Does NN Boast High Insider Ownership?

Our data indicates that NN insiders own about US$9.7m worth of shares (which is 8.2% of the company). Overall, this level of ownership isn't that impressive, but it's certainly better than nothing!

So What Do The NN Insider Transactions Indicate?

It's certainly positive to see the recent insider purchases. But we can't say the same for the transactions over the last 12 months.
