Mr. Peter F. Stanton, also known as Pete, has served as Chairman and CEO of Washington Trust Bank (“Bank”) since March of 2000. Prior to this, Mr. Stanton was President, Chief Executive Officer, & Chairman - January 1997, President and Chief Executive Officer - April 1993 and President of the Bank - April 1990. Mr. Stanton also serves as Chairman of the Board for W.T.B. Financial Corporation and has been its Chief Executive Officer and President since 1997. He is a Board Member for Inland Northwest Council, Boy Scouts of America and serves on The Washington Roundtable. In addition to holding positions on numerous Civic Boards, Mr. Stanton was President of the Washington Bankers Association from 1995 to 1996 and State Chairman of the American Bankers Association for 1997 and 1998. Mr. Stanton is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County and serves on the Board of Trustees of Gonzaga University. Mr. Stanton holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Oregon, an MBA in Accounting and Business Economics from the University of Washington and an Advanced Banking Degree, with honors, from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware.

It also offers credit and debit cards; home, auto, boat, motorcycle, motor home, home equity, equipment, debt refinancing, term, and agriculture loans; and SBA and commercial real estate financing, as well as revolving, personal, and home equity lines of credit. In addition, the company provides investment services, such as retirement planning, mutual funds, stocks/bonds, life/long-term care insurance, annuities, brokerage, planning, and education funding. Further, it offers wealth management services consisting of investment management, charitable and nonprofit administration, estate settlement, family office services, trust administration, retirement planning, employee benefits administration, and custody services, as well as portfolio management services. Additionally, the company provides digital wallets; remote deposit, merchant, treasury management, private banking, and online and mobile banking services; and documentary and standby letters of credit, documentary collection, foreign exchange products, foreign accounts receivable insurance, and SBA export loan guaranty programs. As of February 26, 2019, it operated 42 branches and offices in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. W.T.B. Financial Corporation was founded in 1902 and is headquartered in Spokane, Washington.
