Truist Financial to acquire BenefitMall from Carlyle Group to expand benefits offerings
Truist Financial's (NYSE:TFC) insurance holdings subsidiary agreed to acquire BenefitMall, a benefits wholesale general agency, from Carlyle in a deal that's expected to add ~$150M of annual revenue to Truist Insurance Holdings' wholesale division. Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in Q3 2022, weren't disclosed. The acquired business will be combined into Truist's (TFC) CRC Group, a national wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products. "This acquisition of BenefitMall enables us to further diversify the solutions we offer to our clients and create an enhanced client experience," said Truist (TFC) Chairman and CEO Bill Rogers.
