New York Community Bancorp press release (NYSE:NYCB): Q2 Non-GAAP EPS of $0.35 beats by $0.03. Revenue of $377M (+8.6% Y/Y) beats by $23.04M. Pre-provision net revenue ("PPNR") totaled $239 million, up 15% on a year-over-year basis; excluding merger-related expenses, PPNR on a non-GAAP basis was $243 million, up 11% on a year-over-year basis. Return on average common stockholders' equity and return on average tangible common stockholders' equity were 10.18% and 16.73%, respectively, compared to 9.00% and 14.54%, respectively, for the second quarter of last year. The efficiency ratio improved to 35.57% for the current second quarter compared to 37.11% for the second quarter of last year.
