Premier Financial Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when CFO & Executive VP Paul Nungester bought US$273k worth of shares at a price of US$18.23 per share. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of US$34.13. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn't tell us much about whether insiders might find today's price attractive.

Happily, we note that in the last year insiders paid US$640k for 33.55k shares. But they sold 4.60k shares for US$105k. In the last twelve months there was more buying than selling by Premier Financial insiders. Does Premier Financial Boast High Insider Ownership?

Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. It appears that Premier Financial insiders own 1.9% of the company, worth about US$24m. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
