NB Bancorp Lead Independent Director Acquires 3.8% More Stock
Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the NB Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ:NBBK) Lead Independent Director, Francis Orfanello, recently bought US$85k worth of stock, for US$17.09 per share. However, it only increased their shares held by 3.8%, and it wasn't a huge purchase by absolute value, either.
We check all companies for important risks. See what we found for NB Bancorp in our free report. The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At NB Bancorp
The Independent Director Hope Pascucci made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$741k worth of shares at a price of US$18.53 each. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of US$17.41. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.
