NCC AB (publ) Just Missed Earnings And Its Revenue Numbers Were Weaker Than Expected
NCC AB (publ) (STO:NCC B) came out with its quarterly results last week, and we wanted to see how the business is performing and what industry forecasters think of the company following this report. Revenues came in 5.8% below expectations, at kr15b. Statutory earnings per share were relatively better off, with a per-share profit of kr4.77 being roughly in line with analyst estimates. Following the result, the analysts have updated their earnings model, and it would be good to know whether they think there's been a strong change in the company's prospects, or if it's business as usual. We've gathered the most recent statutory forecasts to see whether the analysts have changed their earnings models, following these results.
After the latest results, the consensus from NCC's four analysts is for revenues of kr57.4b in 2025, which would reflect a discernible 4.8% decline in revenue compared to the last year of performance. Statutory earnings per share are forecast to descend 13% to kr13.62 in the same period. In the lead-up to this report, the analysts had been modelling revenues of kr58.4b and earnings per share (EPS) of kr13.63 in 2025. So it's pretty clear that, although the analysts have updated their estimates, there's been no major change in expectations for the business following the latest results.

The analysts reconfirmed their price target of kr203, showing that the business is executing well and in line with expectations. That's not the only conclusion we can draw from this data however, as some investors also like to consider the spread in estimates when evaluating analyst price targets. There are some variant perceptions on NCC, with the most bullish analyst valuing it at kr210 and the most bearish at kr190 per share. Still, with such a tight range of estimates, it suggeststhe analysts have a pretty good idea of what they think the company is worth.
Another way we can view these estimates is in the context of the bigger picture, such as how the forecasts stack up against past performance, and whether forecasts are more or less bullish relative to other companies in the industry. We would highlight that revenue is expected to reverse, with a forecast 9.3% annualised decline to the end of 2025. That is a notable change from historical growth of 2.2% over the last five years. Compare this with our data, which suggests that other companies in the same industry are, in aggregate, expected to see their revenue grow 4.2% per year. So although its revenues are forecast to shrink, this cloud does not come with a silver lining - NCC is expected to lag the wider industry.
The Bottom Line
The most obvious conclusion is that there's been no major change in the business' prospects in recent times, with the analysts holding their earnings forecasts steady, in line with previous estimates. On the plus side, there were no major changes to revenue estimates; although forecasts imply they will perform worse than the wider industry. The consensus price target held steady at kr203, with the latest estimates not enough to have an impact on their price targets.
Following on from that line of thought, we think that the long-term prospects of the business are much more relevant than next year's earnings. At Simply Wall St, we have a full range of analyst estimates for NCC going out to 2027, and you can see them free on our platform here..
