Here's Why I Think Forever Entertainment (WSE:FOR) Is An Interesting Stock

For beginners, it can seem like a good idea (and an exciting prospect) to buy a company that tells a good story to investors, even if it completely lacks a track record of revenue and profit. But the reality is that when a company loses money each year, for long enough, its investors will usually take their share of those losses.

If, on the other hand, you like companies that have revenue, and even earn profits, then you may well be interested in Forever Entertainment (WSE:FOR). Now, I'm not saying that the stock is necessarily undervalued today; but I can't shake an appreciation for the profitability of the business itself. In comparison, loss making companies act like a sponge for capital - but unlike such a sponge they do not always produce something when squeezed.

Forever Entertainment's Improving Profits

In the last three years Forever Entertainment's earnings per share took off like a rocket; fast, and from a low base. So the actual rate of growth doesn't tell us much. As a result, I'll zoom in on growth over the last year, instead. Like the last firework on New Year's Eve accelerating into the sky, Forever Entertainment's EPS shot from zł0.24 to zł0.58, over the last year. Year on year growth of 141% is certainly a sight to behold. The best case scenario? That the business has hit a true inflection point.

One way to double-check a company's growth is to look at how its revenue, and earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) margins are changing. While Forever Entertainment did well to grow revenue over the last year, EBIT margins were dampened at the same time. So if EBIT margins can stabilize, this top-line growth should pay off for shareholders.

Since Forever Entertainment is no giant, with a market capitalization of zł214m, so you should definitely check its cash and debt before getting too excited about its prospects.

Are Forever Entertainment Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?

Many consider high insider ownership to be a strong sign of alignment between the leaders of a company and the ordinary shareholders. So as you can imagine, the fact that Forever Entertainment insiders own a significant number of shares certainly appeals to me. In fact, they own 42% of the shares, making insiders a very influential shareholder group. I'm always comforted by solid insider ownership like this, as it implies that those running the business are genuinely motivated to create shareholder value. With that sort of holding, insiders have about zł90m riding on the stock, at current prices. That should be more than enough to keep them focussed on creating shareholder value!

Does Forever Entertainment Deserve A Spot On Your Watchlist?

Forever Entertainment's earnings per share have taken off like a rocket aimed right at the moon. That EPS growth certainly has my attention, and the large insider ownership only serves to further stoke my interest. The hope is, of course, that the strong growth marks a fundamental improvement in the business economics. So yes, on this short analysis I do think it's worth considering Forever Entertainment for a spot on your watchlist. However, before you get too excited we've discovered 3 warning signs for Forever Entertainment (1 is significant!) that you should be aware of.

Although Forever Entertainment certainly looks good to me, I would like it more if insiders were buying up shares. If you like to see insider buying, too, then this free list of growing companies that insiders are buying, could be exactly what you're looking for.
