Granules India Limited (NSE:GRANULES) Analysts Are Pretty Bullish On The Stock After Recent Results
It's been a pretty great week for Granules India Limited (NSE:GRANULES) shareholders, with its shares surging 15% to ₹632 in the week since its latest first-quarter results. Results overall were respectable, with statutory earnings of ₹16.72 per share roughly in line with what the analysts had forecast. Revenues of ₹12b came in 2.3% ahead of analyst predictions. This is an important time for investors, as they can track a company's performance in its report, look at what experts are forecasting for next year, and see if there has been any change to expectations for the business. We've gathered the most recent statutory forecasts to see whether the analysts have changed their earnings models, following these results.

Following the latest results, Granules India's seven analysts are now forecasting revenues of ₹50.7b in 2025. This would be a satisfactory 7.8% improvement in revenue compared to the last 12 months. Per-share earnings are expected to surge 23% to ₹24.90. Yet prior to the latest earnings, the analysts had been anticipated revenues of ₹50.7b and earnings per share (EPS) of ₹23.47 in 2025. The analysts seems to have become more bullish on the business, judging by their new earnings per share estimates.
The consensus price target rose 28% to ₹625, suggesting that higher earnings estimates flow through to the stock's valuation as well. That's not the only conclusion we can draw from this data however, as some investors also like to consider the spread in estimates when evaluating analyst price targets. Currently, the most bullish analyst values Granules India at ₹766 per share, while the most bearish prices it at ₹443. There are definitely some different views on the stock, but the range of estimates is not wide enough as to imply that the situation is unforecastable, in our view.
Looking at the bigger picture now, one of the ways we can make sense of these forecasts is to see how they measure up against both past performance and industry growth estimates. It's pretty clear that there is an expectation that Granules India's revenue growth will slow down substantially, with revenues to the end of 2025 expected to display 11% growth on an annualised basis. This is compared to a historical growth rate of 14% over the past five years. Juxtapose this against the other companies in the industry with analyst coverage, which are forecast to grow their revenues (in aggregate) 10% annually. So it's pretty clear that, while Granules India's revenue growth is expected to slow, it's expected to grow roughly in line with the industry.
The Bottom Line
The most important thing here is that the analysts upgraded their earnings per share estimates, suggesting that there has been a clear increase in optimism towards Granules India following these results. They also reconfirmed their revenue estimates, with the company predicted to grow at about the same rate as the wider industry. We note an upgrade to the price target, suggesting that the analysts believes the intrinsic value of the business is likely to improve over time.
Following on from that line of thought, we think that the long-term prospects of the business are much more relevant than next year's earnings. At Simply Wall St, we have a full range of analyst estimates for Granules India going out to 2027, and you can see them free on our platform here..
