Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Sorab Mody, the MD & Executive Director of Mazda Limited (NSE:MAZDA) recently shelled out ₹5.3m to buy stock, at ₹528 per share. Nevertheless, it only increased their shareholding by a minuscule percentage, and it wasn't a massive purchase by absolute value, either.

Mazda Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Sorab Mody was the biggest purchase of Mazda shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. That means that even when the share price was higher than ₹526 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares is very important.
