Should You Be Adding P.C.B. Technologies (TLV:PCBT) To Your Watchlist Today?
For beginners, it can seem like a good idea (and an exciting prospect) to buy a company that tells a good story to investors, even if it currently lacks a track record of revenue and profit. Sometimes these stories can cloud the minds of investors, leading them to invest with their emotions rather than on the merit of good company fundamentals. A loss-making company is yet to prove itself with profit, and eventually the inflow of external capital may dry up.
So if this idea of high risk and high reward doesn't suit, you might be more interested in profitable, growing companies, like P.C.B. Technologies (TLV:PCBT). Even if this company is fairly valued by the market, investors would agree that generating consistent profits will continue to provide P.C.B. Technologies with the means to add long-term value to shareholders.
P.C.B. Technologies' Improving Profits
Over the last three years, P.C.B. Technologies has grown earnings per share (EPS) at as impressive rate from a relatively low point, resulting in a three year percentage growth rate that isn't particularly indicative of expected future performance. So it would be better to isolate the growth rate over the last year for our analysis. Impressively, P.C.B. Technologies' EPS catapulted from US$0.079 to US$0.17, over the last year. Year on year growth of 117% is certainly a sight to behold.
It's often helpful to take a look at earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) margins, as well as revenue growth, to get another take on the quality of the company's growth. The music to the ears of P.C.B. Technologies shareholders is that EBIT margins have grown from 5.0% to 10% in the last 12 months and revenues are on an upwards trend as well. Ticking those two boxes is a good sign of growth, in our book.

Are P.C.B. Technologies Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?
As a general rule, it's worth considering how much the CEO is paid, since unreasonably high rates could be considered against the interests of shareholders. Our analysis has discovered that the median total compensation for the CEOs of companies like P.C.B. Technologies with market caps between US$200m and US$800m is about US$852k.
P.C.B. Technologies offered total compensation worth US$560k to its CEO in the year to December 2024. That seems pretty reasonable, especially given it's below the median for similar sized companies. CEO compensation is hardly the most important aspect of a company to consider, but when it's reasonable, that gives a little more confidence that leadership are looking out for shareholder interests. It can also be a sign of good governance, more generally.
Should You Add P.C.B. Technologies To Your Watchlist?
P.C.B. Technologies' earnings have taken off in quite an impressive fashion. With increasing profits, its seems likely the business has a rosy future; and it may have hit an inflection point. Meanwhile, the very reasonable CEO pay is a great reassurance, since it points to an absence of wasteful spending habits. It will definitely require further research to be sure, but it does seem that P.C.B. Technologies has the hallmarks of a quality business; and that would make it well worth watching. Even so, be aware that P.C.B. Technologies is showing 1 warning sign in our investment analysis , you should know about...

Trending Discussion
As someone who has dealt directly with them as a CTO for a credit union, I have 8 years of horror stories about doing business with them. If there was any other competitor than could deliver 80% of Fiserv services, there would be a mad rush to migrate to them. They should thank their lucky stars they are a near monopoly. this industry is so ripe for a well funded competitor. Their integration of technology is awful, their ability to fix their own implementation screwups is sadly tragic. Sometimes they just silently kill support tickets without resolution and you never find out until you do a follow up inquiry. Why, because sometimes no one you are dealing with knows how to fix it and knows no one to ask for help. They can not meet their own implementation deadlines and sometimes there is no one on a technical team dealing with you that has any banking or credit union experience. The is an industry insider phrase when you meet other Fiserv customers called being "Fiserved". It means telling others of your worst stories of dealing with them. Ask around, all CTO's have some doozies.
