We wouldn't blame Huanxi Media Group Limited (HKG:1003) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that Ping Dong, the Executive Chairman recently netted about HK$9.6m selling shares at an average price of HK$0.45. However, it's crucial to note that they remain very much invested in the stock and that sale only reduced their holding by 3.7%.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Huanxi Media Group

Notably, that recent sale by Ping Dong is the biggest insider sale of Huanxi Media Group shares that we've seen in the last year. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (HK$0.48). When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. It is worth noting that this sale was only 3.7% of Ping Dong's holding.

Ping Dong sold a total of 48.33m shares over the year at an average price of HK$0.43.
