Published

Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Jakob Johansson, the Independent Chairman of Viking Line Abp (HEL:VIK1V) recently shelled out €51k to buy stock, at €19.88 per share. Nevertheless, it only increased their shareholding by a minuscule percentage, and it wasn't a massive purchase by absolute value, either.

Viking Line Abp Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Independent Director Gert Sviberg made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for €121k worth of shares at a price of €20.20 each. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, at around the current price, which is €20.30. Of course they may have changed their mind. But this suggests they are optimistic. We do always like to see insider buying, but it is worth noting if those purchases were made at well below today's share price, as the discount to value may have narrowed with the rising price. Happily, the Viking Line Abp insiders decided to buy shares at close to current prices.
