Shareholders May Not Overlook Trifork Group Insiders Selling €13m In Stock

Published
CPSE:TRIFOR

Despite the fact that Trifork Group AG (CPH:TRIFOR) stock rose 13% last week, insiders who sold €13m worth of stock in the previous 12 months are likely to be better off. Selling at an average price of €128, which is higher than the current price might have been the right call as holding on to stock would have meant their investment would be worth less now than it was at the time of sale.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Trifork Group

The Founder & CEO, Jorn Larsen, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for kr.13m worth of shares at a price of kr.128 each. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is kr.79.00. So it may not tell us anything about how insiders feel about the current share price. Jorn Larsen was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.

In the last twelve months insiders purchased 8.04k shares for kr.775k. On the other hand they divested 100.00k shares, for kr.13m.
