Jushri Technologies, INC. (SZSE:300762) shares have continued their recent momentum with a 33% gain in the last month alone. The last 30 days bring the annual gain to a very sharp 45%.

After such a large jump in price, Jushri Technologies may be sending strong sell signals at present with a price-to-sales (or "P/S") ratio of 35.2x, when you consider almost half of the companies in the Communications industry in China have P/S ratios under 4.6x and even P/S lower than 2x aren't out of the ordinary. However, the P/S might be quite high for a reason and it requires further investigation to determine if it's justified.

What Does Jushri Technologies' Recent Performance Look Like?

Jushri Technologies could be doing better as its revenue has been going backwards lately while most other companies have been seeing positive revenue growth. Perhaps the market is expecting the poor revenue to reverse, justifying it's current high P/S.. If not, then existing shareholders may be extremely nervous about the viability of the share price.

Keen to find out how analysts think Jushri Technologies' future stacks up against the industry? In that case, our free report is a great place to start.

How Is Jushri Technologies' Revenue Growth Trending?

There's an inherent assumption that a company should far outperform the industry for P/S ratios like Jushri Technologies' to be considered reasonable.

Taking a look back first, the company's revenue growth last year wasn't something to get excited about as it posted a disappointing decline of 34%. As a result, revenue from three years ago have also fallen 54% overall. So unfortunately, we have to acknowledge that the company has not done a great job of growing revenue over that time.

Shifting to the future, estimates from the three analysts covering the company suggest revenue should grow by 233% over the next year. That's shaping up to be materially higher than the 46% growth forecast for the broader industry.

In light of this, it's understandable that Jushri Technologies' P/S sits above the majority of other companies. Apparently shareholders aren't keen to offload something that is potentially eyeing a more prosperous future.

The Final Word

Shares in Jushri Technologies have seen a strong upwards swing lately, which has really helped boost its P/S figure. Generally, our preference is to limit the use of the price-to-sales ratio to establishing what the market thinks about the overall health of a company.

Our look into Jushri Technologies shows that its P/S ratio remains high on the merit of its strong future revenues. Right now shareholders are comfortable with the P/S as they are quite confident future revenues aren't under threat. Unless these conditions change, they will continue to provide strong support to the share price.

We don't want to rain on the parade too much, but we did also find 1 warning sign for Jushri Technologies that you need to be mindful of.
