Wiseway Group Stock Down 12% But Insiders Still In AU$123k Profit

Insiders who bought Wiseway Group Limited (ASX:WWG) stock lover the last 12 months are probably not as affected by last week’s 12% loss. After accounting for the recent loss, the AU$145.1k worth of shares they purchased is now worth AU$268.3k, suggesting a good return on their investment.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Wiseway Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Co-Founder & CEO Shigang Tong made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for AU$145k worth of shares at a price of AU$0.11 each. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of AU$0.15. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.
