Recent News & Updates
TRN: Future Returns Will Rely On EPS Delivery And Ongoing Share Repurchases
Analysts have raised their price target on Trinity Industries from $33.50 to $35.50, citing updated assumptions around discount rate, revenue growth, profit margin, and future P/E that they believe better reflect the company’s current risk and return profile. What's in the News Trinity Industries raised its 2026 earnings guidance, now expecting EPS of $2.20 to $2.40, with the midpoint 16% above the prior range of $1.85 to $2.10, excluding items outside core operations (Key Developments).Trinity Industries: Estimates Remain Too Low
Summary Trinity delivered a strong Q1, raising full-year EPS guidance by 16% and signaling further upside as street estimates remain conservative. TRN benefits from robust industrial production, a $1.6B backlog, and a diversified railcar portfolio, positioning both leasing and product segments for growth. The leasing segment maintains high 35%+ margins and stability, while the rail products segment is rebounding from last year’s downturn as secondary market activity improves. With a clean balance sheet, best-in-class 3.4% dividend yield, and potential for multiple expansion, I see 28% upside to a $46 price target. Read the full article on Seeking AlphaRecent updates
