Sinopec Engineering Group Wins $6.1 Billion Aviation Fuel Project in Uzbekistan Allied Biofuels has signed a FEED and detailed engineering contract with SINOPEC Engineering (Group) for a planned US$6.1b sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and e-SAF project in Uzbekistan, agreed during the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum.
The agreement covers front-end design, detailed engineering, systems integration and open-book cost development, with a pathway for SINOPEC Engineering (Group) to roll into a full EPC role, drawing on its experience in refining, biofuels, green hydrogen and complex industrial infrastructure.
SINOPEC Engineering (Group)’s stock last traded at HK$4.93, with the share price down 35.3% year to date.
This contract links SINOPEC Engineering (Group) to a very large renewable fuels project and could influence how the market views its project pipeline and exposure to low-carbon infrastructure, while also concentrating execution risk around a single high-value opportunity.
