FormFactor (FORM) Valuation Check After Analyst Upgrade And Record Quarterly Earnings

FormFactor (FORM) is back in focus after reporting first quarter results with consecutive all time high revenue, better than expected earnings per share and gross margin, prompting an analyst upgrade and fresh interest in the stock.

See our latest analysis for FormFactor.

Despite the brief pullback in the latest session, with the share price down 2.11% to US$130.22, FormFactor’s recent earnings beat and analyst upgrade sit alongside a strong 90 day share price return of 31.70% and a very large 1 year total shareholder return of 318.18%. This suggests momentum has been building as investors reassess its growth and risk profile. Recent events, including an amendment to its certificate of incorporation and upcoming conference appearances later in May, keep the stock in front of institutional investors while sentiment is already elevated.

Most Popular Narrative: 28.2% Overvalued

Against the last close at $130.22, the most followed narrative pegs FormFactor’s fair value at $101.56, so expectations in the share price look demanding.

Analysts are assuming FormFactor's revenue will grow by 12.2% annually over the next 3 years. Analysts assume that profit margins will increase from 6.9% today to 18.2% in 3 years time.

Read the complete narrative.

Those targets rest on a steep climb in revenue and margins, plus a premium earnings multiple that sits above the wider US semiconductor group. Curious how those ingredients combine into that single fair value line.

Result: Fair Value of $101.56 (OVERVALUED)

However, that fair value narrative could crack if customer concentration amplifies swings in DRAM and HBM demand, or if tariffs and higher operating costs continue to pressure margins.

Gold miners still look inexpensive because the market thinks we're near the top of the cycle. Given what's happening to the dollar, I'm not so sure.

Between 2003 and 2011, gold nearly went 5x. Dollar went weak too. The gold companies did bad. It is worth noting that between 2003 and 2011, there was 2008! I will leave it your inference and research.
