With EPS Growth And More, O-I Glass (NYSE:OI) Makes An Interesting Case
It's common for many investors, especially those who are inexperienced, to buy shares in companies with a good story even if these companies are loss-making. Unfortunately, these high risk investments often have little probability of ever paying off, and many investors pay a price to learn their lesson. A loss-making company is yet to prove itself with profit, and eventually the inflow of external capital may dry up.
Despite being in the age of tech-stock blue-sky investing, many investors still adopt a more traditional strategy; buying shares in profitable companies like O-I Glass (NYSE:OI). While profit isn't the sole metric that should be considered when investing, it's worth recognising businesses that can consistently produce it.

How Fast Is O-I Glass Growing Its Earnings Per Share?
In the last three years O-I Glass' earnings per share took off; so much so that it's a bit disingenuous to use these figures to try and deduce long term estimates. This amounts to a 22% gain; a figure that shareholders will be pleased to see.

O-I Glass followers will find comfort in knowing that insiders have a significant amount of capital that aligns their best interests with the wider shareholder group. As a matter of fact, their holding is valued at US$40m. This considerable investment should help drive long-term value in the business.
