Granite Ridge Resources: Elevated Lease Operating Expenses In Q1 2026
Summary Granite Ridge's lease operating expenses per BOE increased by 24% quarter-over-quarter, or 15% after excluding non-recurring charges. Much of the increase was driven by higher Permian saltwater disposal costs. Granite Ridge does expect its lease operating expenses to trend lower later in 2026. Higher costs, an increased acquisition budget and negative value oil hedges contribute to a projection of $81 million in cash burn after dividends in 2026. Granite Ridge continues to expect a transition to significant free cash flow generation in 2027.
