The Independent Director of BioGaia AB (publ) (STO:BIOG B), Anthon Jahreskog, Just Bought A Few More Shares
Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the BioGaia AB (publ) (STO:BIOG B) Independent Director, Anthon Jahreskog, recently bought kr51k worth of stock, for kr94.15 per share. Although the purchase is not a big one, by either a percentage standpoint or absolute value, it can be seen as a good sign.

BioGaia Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In fact, the recent purchase by Anthon Jahreskog was the biggest purchase of BioGaia shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of kr94.05. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. It is encouraging to see an insider paid above the current price for shares, as it suggests they saw value, even at higher levels. I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. It appears that BioGaia insiders own 1.8% of the company, worth about kr167m. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
