For beginners, it can seem like a good idea (and an exciting prospect) to buy a company that tells a good story to investors, even if it currently lacks a track record of revenue and profit. Sometimes these stories can cloud the minds of investors, leading them to invest with their emotions rather than on the merit of good company fundamentals. A loss-making company is yet to prove itself with profit, and eventually the inflow of external capital may dry up.

In contrast to all that, many investors prefer to focus on companies like TF Bank (STO:TFBANK), which has not only revenues, but also profits. While profit isn't the sole metric that should be considered when investing, it's worth recognising businesses that can consistently produce it.

How Quickly Is TF Bank Increasing Earnings Per Share?

If a company can keep growing earnings per share (EPS) long enough, its share price should eventually follow. So it makes sense that experienced investors pay close attention to company EPS when undertaking investment research. It certainly is nice to see that TF Bank has managed to grow EPS by 19% per year over three years. If the company can sustain that sort of growth, we'd expect shareholders to come away satisfied.

One way to double-check a company's growth is to look at how its revenue, and earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) margins are changing. It's noted that TF Bank's revenue from operations was lower than its revenue in the last twelve months, so that could distort our analysis of its margins. TF Bank maintained stable EBIT margins over the last year, all while growing revenue 29% to kr1.1b. That's encouraging news for the company!

Are TF Bank Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?

Investors are always searching for a vote of confidence in the companies they hold and insider buying is one of the key indicators for optimism on the market. Because often, the purchase of stock is a sign that the buyer views it as undervalued. Of course, we can never be sure what insiders are thinking, we can only judge their actions.

Not only did TF Bank insiders refrain from selling stock during the year, but they also spent kr539k buying it. That paints the company in a nice light, as it signals that its leaders are feeling confident in where the company is heading. Zooming in, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Independent Director Michael Lindengren for kr495k worth of shares, at about kr171 per share.

Along with the insider buying, another encouraging sign for TF Bank is that insiders, as a group, have a considerable shareholding. To be specific, they have kr200m worth of shares. That's a lot of money, and no small incentive to work hard. That amounts to 6.0% of the company, demonstrating a degree of high-level alignment with shareholders.
