Here's Why I Think Ralco Agencies (TLV:RLCO) Might Deserve Your Attention Today
Like a puppy chasing its tail, some new investors often chase 'the next big thing', even if that means buying 'story stocks' without revenue, let alone profit. But as Warren Buffett has mused, 'If you've been playing poker for half an hour and you still don't know who the patsy is, you're the patsy.' When they buy such story stocks, investors are all too often the patsy.
In the age of tech-stock blue-sky investing, my choice may seem old fashioned; I still prefer profitable companies like Ralco Agencies (TLV:RLCO). Even if the shares are fully valued today, most capitalists would recognize its profits as the demonstration of steady value generation. Conversely, a loss-making company is yet to prove itself with profit, and eventually the sweet milk of external capital may run sour.

Ralco Agencies's Earnings Per Share Are Growing.
The market is a voting machine in the short term, but a weighing machine in the long term, so share price follows earnings per share (EPS) eventually. It's no surprise, then, that I like to invest in companies with EPS growth. I, for one, am blown away by the fact that Ralco Agencies has grown EPS by 45% per year, over the last three years. While that sort of growth rate isn't sustainable for long, it certainly catches my attention; like a crow with a sparkly stone.
Careful consideration of revenue growth and earnings before interest and taxation (EBIT) margins can help inform a view on the sustainability of the recent profit growth. Ralco Agencies shareholders can take confidence from the fact that EBIT margins are up from 16% to 21%, and revenue is growing. Ticking those two boxes is a good sign of growth, in my book.

Since Ralco Agencies is no giant, with a market capitalization of ₪229m, so you should definitely check its cash and debt before getting too excited about its prospects.
Are Ralco Agencies Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?
Many consider high insider ownership to be a strong sign of alignment between the leaders of a company and the ordinary shareholders. So we're pleased to report that Ralco Agencies insiders own a meaningful share of the business. In fact, they own 80% of the company, so they will share in the same delights and challenges experienced by the ordinary shareholders. This makes me think they will be incentivised to plan for the long term - something I like to see. In terms of absolute value, insiders have ₪184m invested in the business, using the current share price. That's nothing to sneeze at!
Does Ralco Agencies Deserve A Spot On Your Watchlist?
Ralco Agencies's earnings have taken off like any random crypto-currency did, back in 2017. That sort of growth is nothing short of eye-catching, and the large investment held by insiders certainly brightens my view of the company. The hope is, of course, that the strong growth marks a fundamental improvement in the business economics. So yes, on this short analysis I do think it's worth considering Ralco Agencies for a spot on your watchlist. Before you take the next step you should know about the 4 warning signs for Ralco Agencies (1 is a bit unpleasant!) that we have uncovered.
