Here's Why I Think Danel (Adir Yeoshua) (TLV:DANE) Might Deserve Your Attention Today
For beginners, it can seem like a good idea (and an exciting prospect) to buy a company that tells a good story to investors, even if it completely lacks a track record of revenue and profit. But the reality is that when a company loses money each year, for long enough, its investors will usually take their share of those losses.
In the age of tech-stock blue-sky investing, my choice may seem old fashioned; I still prefer profitable companies like Danel (Adir Yeoshua) (TLV:DANE). While profit is not necessarily a social good, it's easy to admire a business that can consistently produce it. While a well funded company may sustain losses for years, unless its owners have an endless appetite for subsidizing the customer, it will need to generate a profit eventually, or else breathe its last breath.

Danel (Adir Yeoshua)'s Earnings Per Share Are Growing.
If you believe that markets are even vaguely efficient, then over the long term you'd expect a company's share price to follow its earnings per share (EPS). Therefore, there are plenty of investors who like to buy shares in companies that are growing EPS. We can see that in the last three years Danel (Adir Yeoshua) grew its EPS by 17% per year. That growth rate is fairly good, assuming the company can keep it up.
I like to take a look at earnings before interest and (EBIT) tax margins, as well as revenue growth, to get another take on the quality of the company's growth. While we note Danel (Adir Yeoshua)'s EBIT margins were flat over the last year, revenue grew by a solid 17% to ₪1.9b. That's a real positive.

While it's always good to see growing profits, you should always remember that a weak balance sheet could come back to bite. So check Danel (Adir Yeoshua)'s balance sheet strength, before getting too excited.
Are Danel (Adir Yeoshua) Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?
I like company leaders to have some skin in the game, so to speak, because it increases alignment of incentives between the people running the business, and its true owners. As a result, I'm encouraged by the fact that insiders own Danel (Adir Yeoshua) shares worth a considerable sum. To be specific, they have ₪154m worth of shares. That's a lot of money, and no small incentive to work hard. Those holdings account for over 5.5% of the company; visible skin in the game.
Is Danel (Adir Yeoshua) Worth Keeping An Eye On?
One important encouraging feature of Danel (Adir Yeoshua) is that it is growing profits. Just as polish makes silverware pop, the high level of insider ownership enhances my enthusiasm for this growth. That combination appeals to me, for one. So yes, I do think the stock is worth keeping an eye on. You still need to take note of risks, for example - Danel (Adir Yeoshua) has 1 warning sign we think you should be aware of.
Of course, you can do well (sometimes) buying stocks that are not growing earnings and do not have insiders buying shares. But as a growth investor I always like to check out companies that do have those features. You can access a free list of them here.
