CEO & Director of Property Franchise Group Picks Up 1.9% More Stock
Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the The Property Franchise Group PLC (LON:TPFG) CEO & Director, Gareth Samples, recently bought UK£40k worth of stock, for UK£4.02 per share. Although the purchase is not a big one, increasing their shareholding by only 1.9%, it can be interpreted as a good sign.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Property Franchise Group
The CFO & Director, David Raggett, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for UK£903k worth of shares at a price of UK£4.25 each. That means that an insider was selling shares at around the current price of UK£4.05. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. In this case, the big sale took place at around the current price, so it's not too bad (but it's still not a positive).
Happily, we note that in the last year insiders paid UK£100k for 24.80k shares. But insiders sold 236.59k shares worth UK£1.0m. All up, insiders sold more shares in Property Franchise Group than they bought, over the last year. Insider Ownership Of Property Franchise Group
Looking at the total insider shareholdings in a company can help to inform your view of whether they are well aligned with common shareholders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Insiders own 14% of Property Franchise Group shares, worth about UK£35m. While this is a strong but not outstanding level of insider ownership, it's enough to indicate some alignment between management and smaller shareholders.
