Mr. John Patrick Hourican has been the Group Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Cyprus Holdings Public Limited Company since November 1, 2013 and has been its Executive Director since July 2016. Mr. Hourican served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Central Bank Of Cyprus. He served as the Chief Executive of Markets & International Banking at The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc from January 2012 to February 28, 2013 and served as its Chief Executive of Global Banking & Markets Division from October 2008 to 2013. He served as the Chief Executive of Global Banking & Markets at The Royal Bank Of Scotland Limited. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Royal Bank of Scotland N.V. and served as its Member of Management Board since November 2007. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of RBS Holdings N.V. until October 14, 2008 and served as its Member of Management Board from November 2007 to October 14, 2008. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Management Board of ABN AMRO Group from 2007 to 2008. He served at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Group Plc, UK from 1997 to 2013. He served as the Head of Leveraged Finance for Europe and Asia Pacific at The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS Group) from 2006 to 2007 and served as its Chief Operating Officer of Global Banking and Markets from 2005 to 2006 and Chief Financial Officer of Corporate Banking and Financial Markets from 2002 to 2005. He worked in various roles of Stuctured Finance at RBS Group from 1997 to 2002. He joined RBS in 1997 and held a variety of senior positions within RBS's wholesale banking division, notably on the division's board as Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for managing 3,000 people globally. He started his career at Price Waterhouse, where he held a variety of Corporate Finance and Audit roles in Dublin, London and Hong Kong from 1991 to 1997. He serves as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Atradius N.V. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Mr. Hourican holds Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Dublin City University, Ireland in 1991 and BA in Economics and Sociology from National University of Ireland, Ireland in 1990.

It offers current, savings, notice, and instant access accounts, as well as fixed term deposits; debit and credit cards; car, personal, student, housing, business, business premises, and term loans, as well as financing for car hire-purchase; life and general insurance products; and trade finance, payment/money transfer, payroll, factoring, and electronic services. The company also provides project and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, fund structuring, and licensing solutions; and loan syndication, wealth management, financing, and treasury services. In addition, it provides investment products, including equities, bonds, foreign exchange, commodities, mutual and hedge funds, and structured products, as well as execution, advisory, discretionary, and custody services; structured solutions; ad-hoc advisory services; risk management solutions; fund management services; and escrow and Internet banking services. Further, the company is involved in the property trading and development activities; brokerage business; land development and operation of a golf resort; and provision of auction, secretarial, and card processing transaction services. As of March 27, 2018, it operated through 123 branches, including 121 in Cyprus, 1 in Romania, and 1 in the United Kingdom, as well as representative offices in Russia, Ukraine, and China. The company was formerly known as Bank of Cyprus Public Company Ltd and changed its name to Bank of Cyprus Holdings Public Limited Company in January 2017. Bank of Cyprus Holdings Public Limited Company was founded in 1899 and is headquartered in Nicosia, Cyprus.
