Bullish Dateline Resources Insider Buying Worth AU$854.6k Yet To Pay Off
The recent 25% drop in Dateline Resources Limited's (ASX:DTR) stock could come as a blow to insiders who purchased AU$854.6k worth of stock at an average buy price of AU$0.0059 over the past 12 months. Insiders purchase with the hope of seeing their investments increase in value over time. However, due to recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth AU$434.7k, which is not great.
While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Dateline Resources Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when MD, CEO & Executive Director Stephen Baghdadi bought AU$802k worth of shares at a price of AU$0.006 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than AU$0.003 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when an insider has purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price. Stephen Baghdadi was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.
Stephen Baghdadi bought 144.90m shares over the last 12 months at an average price of AU$0.0059.
