The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At United Parcel Service

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the Executive VP & President of U.S., Nando Cesarone, sold US$3.9m worth of shares at a price of US$172 per share. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (US$154). So it may not tell us anything about how insiders feel about the current share price. Nando Cesarone was the only individual insider to sell shares in the last twelve months.

Insider Ownership

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Insiders own 0.07% of United Parcel Service shares, worth about US$95m. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
