- Earlier this week, WeRide and Uber Technologies, in partnership with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, launched public Robotaxi passenger rides via the Uber app across Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah, while separately Uber expanded its U.S. grocery and alcohol delivery network by adding regional chains like Stater Bros., Kowalski’s Markets, and Big Red Liquors.
- At the same time, Uber is facing heightened regulatory pressure as the Federal Trade Commission and more than 20 states escalated lawsuits alleging deceptive enrollment, billing, and cancellation practices tied to its Uber One subscription service.
