The Bull Case For Super Micro Computer (SMCI) Could Change Following Cisco’s Secure AI Factory Partnership Expansion
- Cisco Systems recently expanded its Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA through a partnership with Super Micro Computer, adding Super Micro’s high-density liquid- and air-cooled compute systems to Cisco’s full-stack AI infrastructure for enterprises, neoclouds, and sovereign clouds.
- This move makes Super Micro a core hardware supplier within Cisco’s AI ecosystem, potentially broadening its reach into complex, large-scale AI deployments that blend dense GPU clusters with traditional workloads and advanced liquid cooling.
- We’ll examine how becoming a core supplier of liquid- and air-cooled AI systems to Cisco’s Secure AI Factory may reshape Super Micro’s investment narrative.

Super Micro Computer Investment Narrative Recap
To own Super Micro Computer, you need to believe its AI focused server and data center platforms can keep winning complex deployments without sacrificing margins to hardware price competition or customer concentration. The Cisco Secure AI Factory partnership could support that thesis by putting Super Micro’s liquid and air cooled systems into more large scale, mixed AI and enterprise environments, but it does not remove the near term risk that a few major customers still drive a disproportionate share of revenue.
Among recent developments, management’s FY2027 net sales guidance of US$65.0 billion to US$72.0 billion is most relevant here, because it anchors expectations for how much AI infrastructure demand Super Micro must capture. The Cisco relationship fits into that backdrop as another potential distribution channel for its high density GPU and liquid cooled systems, but investors still need to weigh whether this and other partnerships are enough to support those ambitious revenue goals without amplifying execution and supply chain pressures.
Yet despite these promising AI wins, investors should also be aware that customer concentration and emerging price wars could...

A landmark settlement is meant to punish Meta (META). If the 1998 tobacco deal is any guide, it might protect it.

Any moat with an opt-out clause for your competitors is just a fence around your own garden.
Worth looking at what previous legal action actually did to Meta rather than reaching for tobacco. The FTC's record five billion dollar privacy fine in 2019 was met with the stock rising, because it came in below fears and removed an open question. GDPR was designed to constrain large platforms and increased their share of the European ad market, because compliance cost fell hardest on small intermediaries. The FTC's antitrust case, the one that could genuinely have broken the company up, was decided in Meta's favour last November. The only thing that ever meaningfully hurt the business was Apple changing a tracking default, and Meta out-spent that too, while the ad-tech firms that could not afford to rebuild disappeared. The pattern is not that Meta survives regulation. It is that regulation keeps costing its smaller competitors more.
